This is pretty Belarus-specific, but maybe it'll help someone here.

We've been renovating a place and spent way too much time figuring out the ceiling. I found this ceiling renovation page, and it gave us a better idea of what to check before starting.

Happy to share more about what we did ourselves and what we hired out.
