Hey. Our house in Renton has ugly old vinyl siding that's cracked and faded. We want new siding for the whole house. The house is from the 1990s and the siding has never been replaced. What materials hold up best in the Seattle rain?

Hey. Good time to upgrade, Seattle rain is hard on old vinyl. We had GotRot do Seattle Siding Installation for our house in Kent, and they walked us through options, from fiber cement to engineered wood. We chose fiber cement for durability. During removal they found some rot underneath and fixed it before installing new siding, which is exactly what you want. Our energy bills went down a bit too, which was a nice surprise. Honestly, when we did it they had an offer on full-home siding replacement, so check current promotions. The house looks new.
