Gents,

If you can spread the word - at the Thruxton 50th Anniversary race FF2000 car's up to 1989 will be allowed to enter the 2Litres race.

I believe the usual HSCC cut off is 1984, But at this race all FF2000 race cars are able to enter, along with Atlantics, F3's etc.

The HSCC have extended this as a one-off so we can gauge their speed/performance.

Good idea to let them all run but in reality Thruxton is not the best circuit to gauge speed performance
an old 75 dunger running less wing and a driver with gonads of steel can be as quick as a 86F reynard with less wing and driver with gonads of steel!!

If you wish to gauge performance then let some cars run at silverstone brands donington rounds especially if you have low level of entries

I remember Callum Grant losing his rear wing at Thruxton a couple of years ago and it not seeming to make any difference to his pace....

Is there anyone else considering entering this race? This primarily goes out to the historic lot who might be waiting until after Cadwell or Charade...

we may have a ringer out there in one of our Van Diemens. We have decided to do Silverstone ourselves instead as it would be better mileage and more useful testing
